You caught me: I have an unhealthy addiction to nude lips. When you have a tendency to do your eye makeup like you’re about to walk down a red carpet even though you’re just going to some sweaty frat party ( like me ), it just makes sense to choose a lip color that accentuates your eyes but doesn’t take away from them or draw too much attention. They’re so easy, anyone can wear them, and they compliment any look perfectly. Here are my nude lippies that I can’t live without:

NYX BUTTER GLOSSES

Do yourself a favor and go get these glosses right now. Before I obsess over these, let’s just dedicate a moment of silence to give thanks for the fact that these glosses are bomb AND you can get all 3 shades for $10. I just picked these up at CVS; they come in a pack called ‘the butter gloss kit.’ I just really can’t say enough good things about these glosses; they’re thick and pigmented, but they’re not goopy or sticky, and they have a high shine to them, but they don’t have sparkles. All 3 are nudes with different colored undertones – Here are swatches:

BUXOM FULL ON LIP POLISH – SARINA

I picked this lip gloss up for the first time during spring of last school year at Ulta, and it is GOD SENT. To start off, it has alot of sparkle but it is toned down a little bit by the brown toned gloss – a perfect compliment to a sparkly eye look. On top of that, it has limp plumpers in it, and it has that classic minty taste, which I’m totally a sucker for. I always throw this gloss on at work to give me that effortless yet glamorous look quickly, and I always get so many compliments on it.

915 BLUSHING BEIGE & 710 ROSE GLIMMER

I feel like everyone has their own go-to signature pinky nude lip look & this is mine ♥ Maybelline probably has one of the best drugstore lipstick formulas, so they look high quality on your lips – unlike some drugstore lipsticks that just look dry and dull. Blushing beige is a brighter light pink with nude undertones with a classic lipstick finish. Rose Glimmer is also a light pink with more tan undertones and its finish has a high sheen. I love wearing them together or by themselves with the NYX classic lip liner in the shade ‘natural.’ I think another really great thing about these lipsticks is that they reapply really easily, even without a mirror, which is perfect for going out.

LANCOME NATURAL BEAUTY LIPSTICK – CREAM

Everyone’s makeup collection needs that classic nude – the perfect mix between pink and tan that’s not too dark and not too light, and this lipstick by lancome is my favorite. The formula is really moisturizing and pigmented, and the color pairs great with any makeup look. It can be glammed up or made casual. I love throwing a gloss on top of it as well just to add that extra pop of color or sparkle.

These lippies are staples in my collection because I’m such a sucker for glowy, healthy, plump looking lips – and these are how you get there within seconds. The Wet N Wild balm stain is a glowing balm with nudey pink tones; I love this because it has the moisture and consistency of a lip balm, but it gives a natural radiance to your lips. The Maybelline shine shot is a beautiful clear gloss that gives your lips that light capturing shine, but still looks effortless and natural.
